The reception center of ancient house community in Dadeng island is located on the southeast coast of Fujian. It combines the brick roof with the characteristics of southern Fujian and modern glass elements, so that the characteristic elements of southern Fujian and the new design can be integrated into the space and re-engraved. A new history, the new building also retains the age of water that cannot be reproduced in the old days, creating a bright and inspiring atmosphere for the reception center.

In terms of site planning, the old building was originally a broken wall and a half-collapsed ruin. At first, the architects expected to tear it down and rebuild it, but after visiting the site, they insisted on keeping the original bricks and tiles of the old building. We combined the local characteristics of southern Fujian elements to extract, On the basis of retaining the red brick wall, we repaired the old building along the previous texture, and restored the two wall finishes; in combination with modern elements, the beauty of the structure is directly expressed through the steel structure interlayer and the shape of the large glass, shaping it into a A transparent crystal box. The ventilation and lighting performance of the building is improved, the roof adopts the local unique red brick roof, and the ridge of the flying swallow is very local, which makes the new and old buildings evolve and change in the same continuation.
